Taking this step can feel hard, and that's okay. You're allowed to ask for support, and you're allowed to take your time getting here. You don't have to have it all figured out to reach out. Whatever you're carrying right now, you don't have to carry it alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you. I offer a safe, unhurried space for healing in Liberty Hill, TX, in person and virtually.

Breathe Therapeutic Services, PLLC
You don’t have to keep surviving in the ways you once needed to.
Therapy for adults and teens navigating complex trauma, grief, anxiety, and the patterns that keep getting in the way of the life and relationships they want. I offer a compassionate, curious space to understand not simply what you're doing, but what happened that made those strategies necessary in the first place.
“You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.”
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.”
Brené Brown

A Space to Understand Yourself Differently
Sometimes you know exactly why you feel or respond the way you do, yet still find yourself caught in the same patterns. Other times, you may simply know that something doesn't feel right anymore. You may feel disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in relationships, or unsure of what you need or want.
Our work together isn't about fixing what's wrong with you. It's about becoming curious about the strategies, patterns, and ways of relating that developed for a reason—and exploring whether they're still serving you today.
Together, we'll make space for greater connection to yourself, your needs, and what matters most to you. My hope is to offer a safe, compassionate, and unhurried space where you can show up as you are and discover what's possible when you have more choice in how you relate to yourself, others, and your life.

Services I Offer
Trauma, Grief, Depression & Anxiety Therapy in Liberty Hill
Trauma - Acute/Relational/Developmental/Complex
Trauma isn't only what happened to you — it's what your body and nervous system learned to do to survive it. Using NARM, TBRI, and ART, I help clients work through both single-incident trauma and the kind that built up slowly over years, including childhood and relational trauma. This work isn't about retelling your story over and over; it's about helping your nervous system finally register that the danger has passed, so you can be present in your life again instead of bracing for the next thing.
Grief and loss
Grief doesn't move in a straight line, and it rarely looks the way people expect it to. Whether you're grieving a death, a relationship, a diagnosis, an identity, or a future you thought you'd have, grief counseling gives you a steady place to feel what's actually true for you — without a timeline, without being told to move on before you're ready. We work at your pace, making room for the parts of loss that are complicated: relief alongside sorrow, anger alongside love, numbness alongside waves of feeling that arrive without warning.
Depression
Depression can look like sadness, or it can look like exhaustion, flatness, irritability, or simply going through the motions. Therapy for depression here isn't about forcing positivity — it's about understanding what's underneath the depression, whether that's unprocessed grief, trauma, chronic stress, or patterns you learned long ago, and building a path back to a life that feels like yours, one honest step at a time.
Anxiety
Anxiety often shows up as a body that won't settle — racing thoughts, a tight chest, sleepless nights, a constant sense that something's wrong even when you can't name it. We work to understand what your anxiety is actually responding to, calm an overactive nervous system, and build real tools for the moments it flares, so anxiety stops running the show.
My approach
Every person's history is different, so treatment isn't one-size-fits-all. Sessions draw on NARM, TBRI, and ART as appropriate to what you're working through, always grounded in the belief that you are not broken — you adapted to survive something hard, and now we get to work together on what comes next.
In our sessions, I'll join you in getting curious about the patterns, strategies, and ways of relating that may be keeping you from feeling fully connected to yourself. Together, we'll explore what you want for your life and relationships while making space for greater awareness, choice, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Meet Dede

Hello there, and thank you for being here. I'm Dede Johnson (Deanna Sigman Johnson). I'm a therapist, but I'm also a human in process—learning, growing, and doing my own work too. I do this work because I believe healing is everyone's right.
In my practice, I lead with heart and compassion, meeting you where you are while offering gentle challenge along the way. I take a curious, mindful, somatic approach to help you understand what's getting in the way of what you really want, so you can reconnect with your authentic self.
I'm a NARM Master Therapist and Training Assistant, a TBRI Practitioner, and trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). My work draws on the mind-body connection, trauma-informed care, grief and loss, and the research of Brené Brown. It’s an honor to be invited into this work and to witness the courage, growth, and change that can happen along the way.
I started my career in law before moving into social work, wanting a more personal way to help people. I earned my MSW from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and have practiced in the Austin area ever since, working with children, adults, and families in medical and psychiatric settings.
I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and discovering together what you want from therapy.
Wondering if we might be a good fit? I'd be glad to hear from you.
